To apply
for a Homes Within Reach home:
Determine Your Eligibility.

You plan to purchase a home in Suburban Hennepin County

You have a stable source or sources of income
-
Your annual household income is less than the program income limits
Attend an informational meeting.
Our staff will explain the Community Land Trust model, the homeownership program, and the application process.

Submit a Homes Within Reach application.
Applications are available at the information meeting, and our staff will guide you in completing all forms.
Meet with a loan officer to apply for a mortgage.
We will provide you a list of lenders and loan officers that currently provide mortgage financing for our homeownership program.
Interview at Homes Within Reach.
You’ll meet with our staff and resident qualification committee. Approved applicants are offered homeownership opportunities as they become available.
Have an attorney review your ground lease.
When all above steps have been completed and a home is selected. You’ll meet with an attorney to ensure that all your questions regarding the ground lease are answered.
Complete the closing
