West Hennepin Affordable Housing Land Trust
known as Homes Within Reach (HWR) staff will explain the community land trust model of homeownership, HWR's homeownership program, and the application process. Applications
are available at the orientation. See the Information Meeting page or
call 952-401-7071 to schedule.
Applications are available at the Information
Meeting.
There are specific banks and specific loan
officers that currently provide mortgage financing for HWR's
homeownership programs.
Finally, the HWR Resident Qualification
Committee will interview applicants to determine approval for
homeownership programs.
Approved applicants are offered HWR
homeownership opportunities as they become available. When a household
is selected, a purchase agreement will need to be signed and a final
mortgage application is processed with a mortgage lender.
When all the above steps have been completed,
applicants meet with an independent attorney to ensure that all
questions are answered regarding the ground lease.
